Introduction to Static Splinting (for Immobilization) Workshop. "Taking the fear out of Splinting" is a Full Day workshop geared towards the Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, OTA /PTA,or OT/PT student who is looking to develop or improve their skills in fabricating the most common hand/wrist orthoses in a fun and informative workshop. If you are a new therapist or student who is looking to incorporate basic splinting into their private practice or is expected to have splinting skills, this is the workshop for you. This is a great workshop also for the experienced therapist who has not splinting for some time and requires a refresher in material handling and fabricating skills.
The majority of the workshop will be focused on the practical section where each participant will fabricate 5-6 of the most common orthoses. This will allow each participant to gain confidence in pattern drawing, material handling, and the fabrication process.
Due to limited space, we will be limiting ticket sales. Students use promo code "student2023" for $75 off course fees. Must be currently enrolled in a recognized program.
