OSOT Student Funding Spotlight | Western University Occupational Therapy Graduate Formal

On February 7, 2026, 120 student occupational therapists from Western University gathered to celebrate the 2026 Occupational Therapy Graduate Formal supported, in part, by OSOT's Student Initiative Funding.

Brooklyn Sarnovsky, who applied for the funding to help make the event possible, shared this recap of the evening:

"The 2026 Occupational Therapy Graduate Formal was a memorable evening held at Sunningdale Golf Course, where our graduating class gathered to celebrate the culmination of years of dedication, growth, and hard work. The night featured a beautifully catered dinner, heartfelt conversations, and meaningful moments spent reflecting on our journey through the program. It was a special opportunity to step away from placements, exams, and deadlines to simply enjoy one another’s company and recognize how far we’ve come — both individually and as a cohort.

We are incredibly grateful to OSOT for funding this event and making the evening possible. Their support allowed us to come together in celebration, strengthening the sense of community that will continue to carry us forward as we transition into our professional careers.”

OSOT's Student Initiative Funding supports eligible student-led activities at each of Ontario's five university occupational therapy programs, providing up to $500 annually to initiatives that enhance the student experience and build connection to the profession. Congratulations to the Western University graduating class!
