Recap | OSOT’s First Health Technology and Innovation Focus Group
Last week, OSOT successfully hosted its first Health Technology and Innovation Focus Group. This group provides an opportunity for OTs, OTAs, and students to share feedback on emerging health technologies, inform product development and innovation, and to ultimately support clinician and client experiences. We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their engagement, thoughtful feedback, and the diverse perspectives they brought to the discussion.
Overall, participants reported strong satisfaction with the session, reflected in an average rating of 4.5 out of 5, and highlighting the value of creating a collaborative space to explore emerging technologies in occupational therapy. OSOT member contributions are instrumental in helping to shape the future of healthcare and advance innovation in occupational therapy practice.
As we look to build on this momentum, we are seeking volunteers to support the continued delivery of these focus groups. If you are interested in participating in future sessions or contributing to the planning and facilitation of upcoming focus groups, please contact Seema Sindwani, OSOT’s Director of Strategic Partnerships and Practice.
Lastly, the success of this first session wouldn't have been possible without the amazing efforts of Yi Yun (Emma) Sun, student OTA from Centennial College and Namiko Huynh, student OT from Western University on placement with us.
