OSOT Continues to Advocate for Extended Health Insurance Coverage of Psychotherapy 

Thank you to Anna Zaffina and Edward McAnanama from the OSOT Adult Mental Health Team’s Extended Health Benefits Subcommittee for joining OSOT’s Executive Director, Marnie Lofsky, in two seperate meetings with SunLife Insurance, Medavie Blue Cross. Both expressed support for occupational therapy psychotherapy coverage, and outlined technical issues that prevent a profession falling in more than one category, such as paramedical/allied health and mental health. The insurance companies will explore options and follow up shortly.
