Rehab First Inc. is currently seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to join our team across various regions in Ontario to support our growing client base through community-based service delivery. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Rehab First is one of Ontario’s largest multidisciplinary assessment and treatment organizations, with a growing team of approximately 120 professionals specializing in a variety of disciplines. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general and specialized assessments (physical, cognitive, mobility, and attendant care)
- Develop and implement individualized, client-centered treatment plans
- Provide services in a variety of locations including but not limited to: client homes, workplaces, and community settings
- Prepare and submit timely case notes and written reports
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications:
- Master’s in Occupational Theory or related discipline
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) – or eligible for registration (new grad)
- Experience in a healthcare setting; community experience preferred
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Health Care Consent Act, Mental Health Act)
- Ability to manage a varied case load independently
- Valid CPR certification
- Valid G driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within the last 6 months prior to hire date)
- Superior communication, problem-solving, time-management and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
