Description of Opportunity

Occupational Therapist– Community  Rehab (1 -year Term)

Wage: $46 - $52/hour (Opportunity for permanent position following term completion)

Hours: Full-time (flexible schedule)

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. 

We have an immediate opening for an experienced OT in our community-based adult rehab services to conduct home assessments, mobility assessments, wheelchair and seating assessments, equipment prescriptions, and more!  Client population includes people with spinal cord injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, developmental disabilities, and a variety of health conditions requiring assessment and recommendations to improve accessibility, safety and to optimize functional performance.

Requirements and Experience

  • Registered in good standing with COTM 

  • Minimum of 3 years of Adult Rehab OT experience in hospital or community

  • Power and manual wheelchair and seating assessment and prescription experience

  • ADL equipment assessment and prescription experience

  • Available to travel by vehicle outside city of Winnipeg to clients’ homes rural MB

  • Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and report writing skills

  • Reliable vehicle, laptop computer, and smart phone (T-2200 Tax form provided so you can claim expenses on personal income tax)

  • CAOT Professional Liability Insurance (can be purchased after offer is extended)

  • Vulnerable Persons and Abuse Registry Check (can be purchased after offer is extended)
