Occupational Therapist
$70-$85 per visit (HISH + HCCSS) - $5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus

About the Role:
RNS Health Care was established in 1985 to provide community rehabilitation services across the York Region area. Our team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech language pathologists, and social workers assist with client recovery to achieve overall health and wellness after suffering from injury or illness. Our staff members work with clients to improve their quality of living and work towards pre-injury/illness lifestyle and independence.
This is a part-time hourly or full-time salaried role working throughout Newmarket, Bradford, Keswick, Sutton and surrounding areas.
Who We are Looking For:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical or homecare setting
- Must be an ADP authorizer and have knowledge of HCCSS
- Knowledge of community care requirements and resources available
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school
- Registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Membership in C.A.O.T preferred
A Day-to-Day Look at the Role:
- Provide occupational therapy consultation, assessment and planned interventions for clients in the specified regions
- Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source and the agency
- The successful candidate must be able to make decisions and accept responsibility for all aspects of the occupational therapy patient care
- Provide education to patients, their families, and team members
- Adhere to the code of ethics of the profession, in maintaining standards of practice for the profession as defined by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario What you will need to Succeed:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build collaborative and therapeutic interpersonal relationships are required
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of situations, and with various individuals or groups (demonstrated ability to be flexible)
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and availability of a motor vehicle are required with Proof of Auto Insurance
- General Commercial Liability & Professional Liability Insurance
