Are you an occupational therapist working with older adults with cognitive impairment looking for an evidence-based program to enhance your care services?
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) is an evidence-based group treatment for people with mild to moderate dementia built on complex principles including learning theory and person-centred care. CST can be offered as a longer-term treatment and can be provided to a range of clients in various settings including rehabilitation units, transitional care, rehabilitation and continuing care, outpatients, community settings, and people in residential or adult day programs.
Upon completion of this workshop, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to be able to implement CST into your clinical practice. Training is interactive, involving group exercises, role-play, and video observation. A recording of the workshop will be available to participants for two weeks.
