This webinar is for any occupational therapist who is in, or interested in, private practice. You will learn the key aspects of a successful private practice including mindset, systems, and team growth. Presenters will explore some concepts specific to an OT business, such as the solopreneur stuck spot and the individualist trap. You will leave this webinar with a checklist of steps to start a business and inspiration to take the next step.
The presenters are two occupational therapists who have established Collaborative Approach Therapy Services Network, which is a network of private paediatric OT practices. They will draw on their private practice experience as well as a wealth of business knowledge. They aim to empower OTs to feel confident in the private practice world and recognize the value occupational therapists offer to our communities.
Learning Objectives: Recognize all that is provided by private practices to our community and our profession (the presenters will destigmatize private practice!). Recognize the importance of a mindset that focuses on the importance of working on “self” followed by the mindset of money, vision and growth. Identify the importance of systems for growth and freedom. Understand team growth and how to efficiently build a strong and knowledgeable team, including legislation review, onboarding and performance management.
