2023 Ontario Budget Released
The 2023 Ontario budget was tabled by the Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy. The budget focuses on infrastructure, attracting jobs, and more.
Some health-related items in the budget include:
- An additional investment of $9.6 million for the Runnymede Healthcare Centre’s First Responders Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre.
- $33 million to 100 undergraduate seats for Ontario students becoming doctors and 154 postgraduate medical training seats.
- $425 million for access to mental health and addictions services, which includes a 5% increase in funding for community-based mental health and addictions services.
